Canadian distributors of domestic and international films are re-examining their business models in the era of streaming. At a panel during the Whistler Film Festival this past weekend, top executives discussed how the rapid growth of streaming and subsequent dwindling movie ticket sales are causing indie releases to be bumped out of theatres in favour of larger-scale blockbusters.
