Orlando Braun’s Becoming Lucy selected at Burbank International Film Festival

July 30, 2015

Producer Orlando Braun’s Becoming Lucy, directed by Jared Elkin, has been selected for the Burbank International Film Festival [BIFF]. BIFF will take place September 9-13, 2015 in Burbank, California and the film screen Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Burbank AMC Town Center 6 at 9:30pm under one of the Short Films categories.

Becoming Lucy is a loving portrait and docudrama about Lucille Ball starring Alexis Nichols. Confronted by probing questions from her biographer, an elderly Lucille recalls the steps it took for her to realize the iconic television series I Love Lucy. The film was also recognized by 8 other festivals since it’s premiere at the Cannes Short Film Corner 2013.

BIFF has a mission to promote up-and-coming filmmakers by providing a gateway to expand their careers in the entertainment industry. By shining a light on the unknown talent of today, they help them become the celebrated filmmakers of tomorrow. Not only do they actively champion independent filmmaking, they are one of the few, if not the only film festival in the world that offers film distribution seminars to help filmmakers guide their cinematic vision toward profitability.
