The Medicine Line Wins Best Documentary Series at YFF

The Medicine Line was awarded a Golden Sheaf for Best Documentary Series at the 2014 Yorkton Film Festival this past weekend.

The series follows cinematographer Dave Gaudet as he travels across the Canada-US border to discover aboriginal art, language, history & culture.

The Medicine Line was recognized in the Best Documentary Series category for its episode Icons Of Oppression, which features Dave Gaudet starting his journey in New Orleans, Louisiana filming the Mardi Gras Indian before heading north to Lejac, B.C. to investigate the miracles of Rose Prince.

The series aired nationally on APTN and was produced by Kyle Bornais, Scott R. Leary and Dave Gaudet. The award winning episode was written by Chris Charney and directed by John Barnard.
