In 2013, the Festival had a significant attendance of 14,120 people, with an international and national program of 80 screenings.
From November 12th to 16th, 2014, CIFF will bring together producers, directors, sales agents, distributors and active members of the film industry and will assist those finding new and better opportunities for the development of their projects.
Los Cabos Competition will award its Best Picture winner (Fiction or Documentary) with “El Protagonista” sculpture by Gabriel Macotela, a crediting diploma and a cash prize of USD $15,000.00 (fifteen thousand American dollars) to be claimed by the film’s producer.
New in 2014, Los Cabos International Film Festival will be holding the first Mexico-USA-Canada Co-production Forum. Twelve projects in developmental stage will be selected (four per participating country) to take part in this program. Each film’s representatives will have access to a series of one-on-one meetings with important members of the international cinematographic industry, and potential co-producers participating in the Festival.
