Bell Media’s new Subscription Video on Demand service, code-named « Project Latte, » has been renamed CraveTV. The service is set to launch this month with exclusive SVOD rights to some of the most popular sci-fi programming available. Bell announced that at launch, CraveTV will deliver to its subscribers sci-fi and fantasy-themed TV content such as Star Trek, the Twilight Zone, Doctor Who and the Canadian hit, Orphan Black.
The SVOD service has also struck a deal with Frantic Films to provide the homegrown comedy horror series Todd & The Book of Pure Evil.
CraveTV will launch this month with television programming exclusively, no films, and be available to all Canadians via set-top boxes, apps and the internet (pending agreements with participating TV providers). The final name of the SVOD service will be unveiled once it is formally launched.
