Jeremy Torrie’s feature drama project receives Telefilm funding

Tuesday, Telefilm Canada announced it will finance 11 new Indigenous feature films in 2017-18 for a total of $4.7M. Corruption of Divine Providence was selected, with OSM member Jeremy Torrie as the writer-director of the French-English multilingual drama and Tanya Brunel producing. Film Option will distribute the film in both languages. Tantoo Cardinal and Corey Sevier will take on supporting roles with lead cast and crew announcements to follow. Production is set to begin in September in rural Manitoba.
