Minister of Finance Announces Allocation of $31.5 million for MB Film & Video Tax Credit

On March 7, 2019, Manitoba Minister of Finance Scott Fielding announced that the Manitoba Film and Video Tax Credit is made permanent with no fixed expiry date. Recognizing the value of the arts and cultural industries in the Budget Speech, the Minister pointed to the success of the media production industry, as he announced an allocation of $31.5 million for the Manitoba Film and Video Tax Credit, nearly double the 2017-2018 figure of $16 million.
