A standing committee of the OSM Board intended to provide oversight and monitor the organization’s financial affairs. The committee will make recommendations to the board on financial management policies.
Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs Committee:
A standing committee of the OSM Board intended to provide guidance and information to OSM senior management in regards to government relations and regulatory affairs.
A standing committee of the OSM Board intended to provide guidance to OSM senior management in regards to membership, including categories, rates, recruitment strategies and services.
A standing committee of the OSM Board intended to provide guidance to OSM senior management in regards to programs (Access Funds).

Patrick Clement, Manito Média (Treasurer / Vice-Chair of Finance): Patrick is a born and raised Francophone from Winnipeg who has been working in the industry for over 6 years. He has a very wide background having completed a law degree and an MBA in Finance. Before joining Media RendezVous Inc. and starting Manito Média, he worked for large law and accounting firms in Canada. Over the past 6 years he has worked both as Producer and Director of Business Affairs for documentary, children and youth and variety television series for Rogers, APTN, Radio-Canada, and TV5.
Steven Foster, DGC Manitoba (Secretary / Vice-Chair of Governance and Regulatory Affairs): Originally from Winnipeg, he recently returned from Toronto where he received his Public Relations Certificate from Ryerson University. He most recently was the Director, Artist and Label Services for Entertainment Business Affairs Inc. in Toronto. He is a freelancer, running his own company for the last 10 years. He provided multiple clients with project management, grant writing, marketing and communication services.
Leslea Mair, Zoot Pictures (Vice-Chair of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs): Leslea has been CEO of Zoot Pictures Inc. for 18 years. Zoot Pictures is an independent production company specializing in documentary and factual television, but with extensive experience in the digital realm. Zoot Pictures has made several award-winning documentaries and garnered a Gemini for our work on Corner Gas’ web component.
Chris McIvor, FRANK Digital (Chair Programs, Chair Membership): Chris is FRANK Digital’s Executive Producer and CEO who works with all types of organizations to help tell stories that create change. Extensive travel in several third world and war-torn countries helped form who Chris is as a person, content producer, editor and director. His almost thirty-year career as a shooter/editor, lead him to directing, which is a passion of his. Chris contributes to the industry and community by giving his time as a board member of On Screen Manitoba, Film Training Manitoba, and is a member of the Canadian Media Producers Association.
Robin Campbell, Lazer Grant: Robin is a professional accountant (CPA, CA) with over 15 years’ experience in a variety of roles and industries. She began her career in a mid-sized audit and accounting firm in Winnipeg, subsequently working in financial services internationally, manufacturing, and most recently as a controller for a film production company in Winnipeg. She is now back at a local audit and accounting firm, providing film audit and tax credit services to the film industry. Robin has served on various boards and committees over the years, including Treasurer of the Bermuda Volleyball Association, Board Member and Treasurer of the Manitoba Marathon Foundation, and she currently serves on the Operational Performance committee of the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre.
Ian Dimerman, Inferno Pictures: Ian is a principal of Inferno Pictures Inc., a Manitoba-based production company. Ian has an extensive and proven track record in the world of feature film and television finance. Prior to this endeavour he traveled the world for the National Bank of Canada where he was market manager of the TV & Motion Picture Group (Ontario & Western Canada). His accomplishments were many and include; developing a portfolio of corporate and commercial accounts within film and television industry, developing and implementing business development strategies for expanding business, creating, promoting and maintaining the brand image of the Bank within the industry sector, he was responsible for overseeing operating budget for Western Canadian and Ontario operation, he grew the loan portfolio from $10 million to $150 million in four years and was nominated to the top 100 performer list for the entire Bank in 2004. Ian was involved in numerous complex international co-production financing structures and has developed relationships with film financiers all over the world.
Kitan Amao, RBC: Kitan is a Senior Commercial Account Manager specializing in technology and media companies. He is a self-starting, team player and result-oriented banking professional & chartered professional accountant with proven success in credit structuring & syndication, financial analysis & cash flow modeling and credit risk & portfolio management. Over the past 10 years he has played diverse roles on the executive board of various not for profit organizations. With over 12 years of corporate banking experience executing over $500 million in financing transactions across various industries; Kitan continuously demonstrates capacity for building trusted relationships and communicating effectively, coupled with a passion of assisting clients to meet their growth ambitions. Kitan holds a Masters of Business from Manchester Business School in the UK and he is married with two children.
Jen Beasley, Buffalo Gal Pictures: Jen is a WGC-nominated Canadian writer with comedy and drama television as well as web-based screenwriting credits to her name, Jen has been active in the film communities in both Toronto
and Winnipeg for almost two decades. Following a ten-year stint as an assistant cameraperson
with various film and television productions and before that as both an elementary and high school
teacher, Jen segued into the television story department, beginning with the Showcase comedy series Billable Hours. Upon graduating from the Canadian Film Centre’s Prime Time Television Program in 2009, Jen was hired as Story Coordinator on the award-winning HBO Canada series Less Than Kind. In the fall of 2017, Jen was named Buffalo Gal Pictures’ Head of Development, and currently oversees the company’s diverse feature and television slate.
Reed Makayev, 1st Assistant Director: Reed has worked in the film and television industry in Manitoba for the past 15 years, specializing interchangeably as a 1st & 2nd AD with the Director’s Guild of Canada. Since 2016 he has held the position of Vice President of the DGC’s Manitoba District Council and during the same time has also increased his participation as an instructor through Film Training Manitoba.
Nicolas Phillips, lighting technician: Nicolas is the current President of IATSE Local 856. For the past 16 years, he has worked in various roles within the lighting department including lead and gaffer. Prior to working in the Motion Picture industry, Nicolas graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production and a minor in Film Studies. Nicolas has been involved in the greater film community for several years now, serving 3 year terms as Member at Large and Secretary on the IATSE 856 Executive Board and as a trustee of
the IATSE 856 Health and Welfare Trust for the last 8 years.
Sandra Simoes, William F. Whites: Sandra has been with William F. White since 2007. Prior to joining White’s she worked in the sound and lighting equipment industry at Westsun International.
Brandice Vivier, Vivier Consulting: Brandice has over 25 years experience in the industry as a production executive at Bell Media, a mentor and trainer at the National Screen Institute-Canada, and business affairs specialist at Bell Media, where she negotiated license agreements and compiled compliance reporting for the regulatory department. Brandice is currently the Business Affairs Manager at Frantic Films, and also runs a development consultant company, Vivier Consulting, working with emerging writers. As a Manager of Business Affairs for Frantic Films, she leads and directs all of the business affairs for the company as it relates to development, production, post production, distribution and reporting. As a development consultant Brandice helps to develop and guide her clients’ career’s as well as helping to develop their creative materials and get those materials into the hands of the right people. She has been involved with numerous award-winning projects for Bell Media, Shaw Media, CBC, Corus, HBO Canada and Rogers as a coach, mentor and production executive. Her passion and commitment to nurturing talent extends into her volunteer work as co-chair of the Yorkton Film Festival and the Film Training Manitoba Board of Directors as well as the chair of their programming committee.
