Danielle Sturk


Danielle Sturk is a bilingual independent filmmaker, creating in documentary, experimental, dramatic series and live to television performance specials. Her films have toured the festival circuit and have been broadcast by most major Canadian networks. A Manitoba Film Hothouse Award recipient, Sturk was nominated for the DGC Allan King Award for Documentary Excellence and was awarded Best Experimental Film and Best Director Non-Fiction at the Yorkton Film Festival for her latest film EL TORO, and which also earned Top 5 Audience Pick at HOT DOCS, Top 10 Audience Choice at the Gimli Film Festival and at the Vox Popular Media Arts Festival. She is currently directing multiple episodes of the new television series Edgar for Bell Superécran/Crave, and is in development for her dramatic mini-series El Toro for Radio Canada.
