WITBN: Our Songs is an international co-production with the World Indigenous Television Broadcasters Network (WITBN) featuring Indigenous singers and songwriters from around the world. As Canada’s Indigenous broadcaster, APTN commissioned Animiki See Digital Production to produce six music videos, each profiling a Canadian Aboriginal artist.
Aboriginal Day Live & Celebration, an annual celebration of Canada’s National Aboriginal Day and the summer solstice, has been delighting audiences since 2007. The event features some of the most accomplished Indigenous musicians, including award-winning and up-and-coming artists; it showcases talent from all genres, regions and nations; and ensures the recognition and inclusion of all First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.
Cashing in is a half-hour drama about the high stakes world of First Nations gaming at North Beach Casino in Southern Manitoba. Set on Stonewalker First Nation, nestled comfortably beside an affluent beach community, Cashing In is a full house of sharp executives, smooth dealers and colourful clientele. Through elaborate love triangles, merry mix-ups and ever-twisting plot lines, Cashing In exposes the high-stakes, winner-takes-all world of First Nations gaming.
