MERIT MOTION PICTURES [MMP], founded 25 years ago by Merit Jensen Carr, is one of Canada’s leading producers of factual programming, specializing in blue chip, multi-platform science, natural history, and social issue programs for domestic and international television and theatrical markets. Notable projects include the cross-platform One Ocean series (CBC) and Recreating Eden (HGTV/Vision) a 65x30min. series shot in the world’s most exotic gardens. MMP has worked with CBC’s The Nature of Things producing quality docs including My Brain Made Me Do It, Decoding Desire, Surviving The Teenage Brain, Ticked Off: The Mystery of Lyme Disease, The Curious Case of Vitamins & Me, and two CSA Award-winning docs Smarty Plants and Vietnam: Canada’s Shadow War.
