The Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) is a national labour organization representing key creative and logistical personnel in the motion picture industries. The Guild began in 1962 as an association of Canada's creative film directors. Today it represents over 3700 members in 48 different craft and occupational job categories, covering all areas of production, and editing. DGC Manitoba represents 81 members in the areas of direction, production, locations, accounting and editing. Currently, the DGC Manitoba covers the following crew categories in Manitoba: - Accounting: including Production Accountant, First and Second Assistant Production Accountant, Accounting Clerk - Assistant Directing : including First, Second and Third Assistant Directors - Directing : including Director, Second Unit Director - Locations : including Locations Manager, Assistant Locations Manager, Locations Production Assistant - Editing : including Picture Editor, Sound Editor, First Assistant Editor, Second Assistant Editor - Production : including Production Manager Unit Manager/Assistant Production Manager, Production Coordinator, Assistant Production Coordinator, Office PA, Set Production Assistant, Production Assistant
