The Government of Canada and Belgium Sign Memorandum Of Understanding

March 15, 2018

On March 13th, 2018, The government of Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Belgium. This MOU was signed over the recognition of Canada’s creative industries being a driving force for the Canadian economy. The audiovisual MOU makes Canada a ‘neighbour of choice’ when it comes to audiovisual co-productions with Belgian communities, strengthening both economic and cultural ties. This agreement is positioned to combine creative and financial assets to be mutually beneficial to both nations. The audiovisual Memorandum of Understanding will go into effect as soon as Canada and each of the three Belgian communities complete their required local procedures.
