Upcoming Deadlines

At On Screen Manitoba, we are committed to making our members aware of making industry opportunities such as calls for project submissions for funds, festivals, markets, competitions and awards. Links to all future opportunities will be posted in this centralized location and circulated in our weekly industry newsletter In Focus. To have a call for submissions listed here, e-mail info@onscreenmanitoba.com.

Employment Opportunities

There are several productions shooting right now and more around the corner! That means they are/will be seeking candidates, including entry-level positions. The current production list can be found here. If it is a union show, productions will contact the local labour unions to hire crew. Here is a list of departments divided by union. Contact the labour unions to find out more:

IATSE Local 856
DGC – Manitoba District Council
IATSE Local 669

Local productions are seeking crew for entry-level positions in IATSE Local 856 departments. You would be required to become an IATSE 856 permittee. The first step would be to complete your online required courses (Set Orientation and WHMIS), available through Film Training Manitoba.
