This new 6-month program aims to coach five selected Manitoba writers in producing an industry-standard feature screenplay. It includes support for creating pitch materials, an intensive script and talent development process and mentorship from an experienced screenwriting coach/story editor from Script Angel. Priority will be given to underrepresented applicants.
The Script Angel Feature Film Accelerator will include:
Personalized mentorship sessions with industry professionals.
Opportunities to network with filmmakers, producers, and other writers.
Showcase events where participants can present their work to industry stakeholders.
$10,000 in training for each of the five selected applicants.
The program is open to screenwriters based in Manitoba. We encourage individuals from underrepresented and underserved communities to apply. Applicants are required to submit a screenplay sample and a statement of purpose. The selection process, focusing on promoting diversity and inclusion, will be conducted by a panel of industry experts.
