On Screen Manitoba — in partnership with IATSE Local 856, ICG Local 669, the DGC - MDC, ACTRA Manitoba and the Winnipeg Film Group — is hosting Introduction to Workplace Safety and Health in the Manitoba Media Production Industry with Jack Slessor on Thursday, December 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Black Lodge (304-100 Arthur Street, Winnipeg).

Introduction to Workplace Safety and Health in the Manitoba Media Production Industry is a presentation that illustrates the roles and responsibilities of the varied film industry professionals reflected in the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulation. The presentation has been customized with the inclusion of film industry related examples, photos and exercises to ensure a relevant, informative and engaging experience for all participants.

Jack Slessor is a Certified Safety and Health Consultant with over 16 years of experience as a workplace safety and health professional. Jack retired from SAFE Work Manitoba in September 2022, but continues to bring his years of experience and his passion for people's safety to every presentation he provides as an independent trainer and consultant.
