Unscripted Series Development Accelerator


This course is designed for Manitoba’s emerging to mid-level producers and filmmakers looking to develop and pitch unscripted series across multiple genres, including documentary, lifestyle, and factual projects.

Led by award-winning creator Anne E. Francis, participants will gain insights into industry best practices, storytelling techniques, and effective pitching strategies through interactive sessions, case studies, and practical assignments to provide hands-on experience in unscripted television development.

  • OSM Members: $100

This workshop is perfect for emerging producers with some experience in documentary or factual TV production. If you’re ready to refine your pitch and bring your project to the next level, we encourage you to apply.

About the Facilitator

Anne E. Francis is an established and award-winning creator of globally distributed episodic factual TV and digital content with over 20 years of industry experience. She has developed and produced television for HGTV US and Canada, Discovery Channel, CBC, Corus, and Rogers. In addition to factual TV, Anne co-produced the award-winning online financial literacy program McGill Personal Finance Essentials and similar educational programs with University of Guelph, Western University, and Farm Credit Canada. Anne brings extensive expertise in creative development, storytelling, team leadership, and industry relationships.
